| Q: What is DMS? |

| DMS simply stands for the Desert Marine Society. It's a non profit organization located in Phoenix Arizona and is open to anyone interested in the keeping of Marine Aquaria. We meet on the last Thursday of every month at >>10202 N. 19th Avenue in the Dragonfleye Charter School (between Peoria and Dunlap on 19th ave map). Monthly meetings are a blast! We have raffles, slide shows and wonderful Guest speakers such as Bob Fenner the author of The Conscientious Marine Aquarist. The best part about this "club" may not be the discounts you get at some local fish shops but the valuable information and opinions you get from other members. DMS has been up since 1991, founded and run by people who love the hobby (although not the expenses) of reef and fish keeping. Please stop by and say hello, its a lot of fun! | >> Because of the holidays coming up next week, the November DMS meeting is this Thursday the 20th not the last Thursday of the month. The agenda:
Video night - please video tape your aquarium. We will have a TV and VCR for playing your video. If you need a laptop and LCD projector please let us know ASAP.
Potluck - bring in your favorite dish to enjoy while watching the videos. Please post on Reef Central what you plan to bring. Or email Dave at dvj81@yahoo.com.
Elections - has a year gone by already! Then it's time to elect next year's board member. Please attend so you can vote. If you can't make it, select somebody to be your proxy. |
