William Harrison Arledge was the son of Isaac Duke Arledge and Eliza Eddins. Born in Wilcox Co, AL, William Harrison Arledge came from Alabama with his parents in 1857 to Paulding, Mississippi. For 37 years he nad his wife lived and farmed at Paulding, then moved to Hattiesburg in 1906 and farmed. He went to the Civil War in 1864 and was gone about a year. They had 12 children: Julia Cordelia, Leonidas Elbert, William Isaac, Charles H., Horace John, Emma L., Mittie Ann, Irene Eliza, Maude Amanda, Hattie Mable, Lorena Freydis, and Emmett Judson.
