Photo Keepsake Ornament Instructions

Skill Level:  Beginner

Size:  5 ¼? w by 3 3/8? h

Supplies:  Needleloft Plastic Canvas yarn or worsted weight yarn, one 10 ½? x 13 ½? sheet of 7 mesh (count) plastic canvas, #16 tapestry needle, white felt, nylon line, #26 tapestry needle (for working with nylon line), and clear-drying craft glue.

Stitches used:  Gobelin Stitch, Overcast Stitch, and Tent Stitch

Instructions:  Follow charts (patterns) and use required stitches to work Ornament pieces.  For Back, cut a piece of plastic canvas 18 x 23 threads (not holes).  Use red for all joining.  Refer to photo on photo page http://www.oocities.org/arleen_1998/craftphotos.html to join front to back along the un-worked edges.  Refer to photo again to see how to glue felt to wrong side of front.  For hanger, thread 8? of nylon line (or you can use yarn as I did with the larger tapestry needle) through stitched piece.  Tie ends together in a knot 3? above Ornament.  Hang on tree!  Enjoy
