Q) I copied the font in the proper Fonts folder but the site is still not showing proper Urdu text.

A) If you still do not see the web site in Urdu text then here is another way that will definitely help you see the site in Urdu script.

Netscape Communicator 4.x: Go into EDIT | PREFERENCES and Appearance | Fonts, here you'll see 3 options one of which reads Variable Width Font: and change the default font which is Times New Roman to UmairI.ttf. Now close your browser and reopen it, this should do the trick and you should be able to view the site in Urdu text.

Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.x: Almost the same kind of steps need to be followed, that is, change the Variable Width Font to UmairI. All you have to do is search for the Options menu where this option is placed.

Internet Explorer 5.x: Go into TOOLS | INTERNET OPTIONS then click on the button that says Fonts... and change the Web Page Font from Times New Roman to UmairI. DO NOT change the Plain Text Font.
