Fresh Religious Violence in Indonesia Six people have been killed in renewed religious violence in Indonesia's Maluku islands. The six were stabbed to death in an attack Sunday night by groups of men armed with knives, bayonets and machetes in the provincial capital of Ambon. All six were Christians. At least 15 others were injured in the attack. Violence in the region has subsided recently, but more than 5,000 people have been killed in clashes between Muslims and Christians since January of 1999. Some information for this report provided by AP and AFP.
