THE DRAW

The draw of the tournaments was now posted in the courtyard next to the fighting stage. Ieyasu had entered in open hand, single sword and double sword. The best men in his army had been entered in this tournament, and some said he was too old to have a chance, but they neglected to remember that Ieyasu too was a war veteran who fought in many campaigns to begin his empire. Sakaki had hardly ever used a sword and was really better off with a spear in his hand, but he had been training with Kobayakowa, and who knows what the two close friends had in store. They had also entered everything. Date Masamune and the cocky cloaked man seemed like a very arrogant pair, but what were they hiding, and who was this guy? Togo had entered everything, he relied on his mind more than his instincts, but this still made for a very dangerous fighter, because when you are up against men like these, your instincts tell you to run away as fast as you can, while your mind tells you to go for their weak points. Hanga and Tomoe, the two females had entered the tournament, just the open hand. Yi had offered to be put on watch guard with Fukushima. Of coarse there was Honda, the favourite to win for all the events. On top of this, there were a handful of unknowns spread across the events. A spectacular line up with the winners getting a massive pay off and a victory kiss from the famous Yoshino. Not to mention a hand crafted katana blade made by the royal blacksmith. A real treasure!
The first rounds had also been posted.

Naramo vs. Furei
Ieyasu vs. Togo
Hanga vs. Sakaki

The draw looked good. Well known names in all the events. Sumoo was lacking, but that was only because it was considered more of a game than an actual fight. None of these men were sumoo wrestlers. Honda was expected to win all 4 events, but would he? It would all come down to that fateful night.
