The Books I Read

"I am not the kind of people who like to visit library. That's why I did not start reading a lot until few years ago when I began to enjoy the pleasure of reading books. This must have something to do with the Internet, particular Amazon.com , which I can use to search a lot of book information as well as my Master attendance which gave me a chance to get access of the library. I like reading books about Economics. Recently, I start reading books on universe... Anyway, I hope I can express my after-reading feeling here. Some of the books has been read for awhile and I need time to tidying my mind up before I can post my view here......So......Let's see..."

The Return of Depression Economics by Paul Krugman
Krugman used a lot of analogies to explain Economics theory, which are usually intimidating, in a simple and easy to understand way. The baby sitting co-op is an excellent example. He explained the rise of Asia in a scientific way with research results. The chapters on the crackdown of Japan and Asia were clear enough to be the practical examples for Economics teaching. In the inroduction of Krugman's another book 'The Accidental Theorist', he said 'It is not only harder but more time-consuming to write a 1,300-word, plain-English article for the general public than to write a 5,000-word, equation-laden paper for a professional journal'. Krugman really did a good job to save us, the general public, a lot of precious time. I think the book is a good companion to those who study Economics and find out they are taught mainly microeconomics. (As a Business student, I find it is weired that business school place unproportionally high emphasis on Micro when our world is full of problems which need a Macro solutions.)
