brave woman

Ieyasu stepped off the stage after his fight. He checked his nose for blood; it was trickling slightly. Tomoe suddenly appeared from nowhere with a damp cloth and before Ieyasu could refuse, she was padding his nose down with a gentle touch he had not expected from such a brave warrior. "You fought well..my Lord" she quietly spoke. He then realized that she still had the caring, nurturing instincts found only in women. "You do a good job Tomoe san."
"I learnt many a skill from my mother who was wise to the ancient art of healing." replied Tomoe, finishing up on his nose. "Join me for a walk around the fortress. Unless you have a match soon?" inquired Tokugawa.
"I have the last fight in the open hand first round, I’m sure that should give us plenty of time for a walk." Tomoe smiled, quite sure that Ieyasu's tone carried a hint of flirtation, which she had matched with her glance.
Ieyasu strolled out of the courtyard, Tomoe at his side. As they walked they discussed their favorites for the days events.
Tomoe walked so gracefully at Ieyasu’s side, he couldn’t help but notice how feminine she really was. Tomoe was equally aware of Ieyasu’s stride so self-assured and powerful.
Eventually they ended up in his private garden and the beautiful tranquility of it enchanted Tomoe, some purple flowers caught her attention through the corner of her eye and before she had another thought she took Ieyasu’s hand and lead him over to the flower patch.
Tomoe picked a flower and they sat down. She twirled the stem in her fingers. "Your garden is spectacular, all the colours and different types of flowers." She looked up at him and saw he was staring intensely at her.
"I never really cared for the garden. Always preferred to spend my time in the dojo and the temple" he quickly answered. Tomoe smiled and handed him the flower, he held it like a meaningless object. He starred at the petals, puzzled by how these small things seem to mean so much to women and yet meant so little to him. He looked up deep into Tomoe's eyes, captured by her beauty and strength. He couldn't help letting a little smile emerge from his parched lips. He slowly leant towards her and their lips met in a lingering kiss. They were both taken back by the intensity of the kiss. He whispered, "I would like to rest for a while. Come back to the castle with me".
Tomoe softly bowed and replied, "As you wish... my Lord."
