The Municipal Extension Office in Salapungan is now fully operational with a Health Clinic, a multi-purpose covered court, a playground, a green house for vegetable seedlings. It will soon include a police station and a livelihood training center.

The more than a hectare site was acquired during the first year of Mayor Jerry Pelayo in office in 2004. It is now the center of public activity in the Kapampangan Region with 8 barangays. Notice also the newly concreted road in front of the compound.

The Kapampangan Region is a rice producing area with as much as 3 croppings a year now with its improved irrigation system. Melons are being planned to be planted here for both domestic and foreign markets.
