HanapBuhay Overseas offers to cover symposium on "Rizal as OFW"

.

HANAPBUHAY OVERSEAS, A WEEKLY T.V. SHOW HOSTED BY Ms. Angelique Lazo, offered to cover the Symposium on "Rizal as an OFW" this coming Thursday. According to Vic Alcuaz, president and ceo of Star Events, the show's producer, they became interested in the symposium after reading it on the papers. The reference to Rizal as an OFW struck a common chord, Alcuaz said, because HanapBuhay Overseas is a 60-minute weekly television program for millions of Filipinos aspiring to work overseas.

Ambassador Roy V. Señeres also has a portion where he explains the benefits of becoming a member of the "Family Club".

Parallelisms between Rizal and OFWs

The Makati Business Forum welcomes this rare opportunity of getting the interest and support of veteran media personalities, in its effort to offer service to OFWs and provide information to the viewing public. This additional media attention is a further boost in refreshing the memory of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal on the 108th anniversary of his death, and in finding striking parallelisms between Rizal's struggles for the betterment of our country during his time and those of our OFWs who are dubbed as the "modern heroes" of today.  (Excalibur News)
