* Use a sitemap if you have a large site.
* Static navigation,no mouseovers or java
* Avoid excess flash and images.Keep page weight less for fast loading
* Descriptive pages from the page title through
* No hidden goodies to annoy the spiders
* Clean code (validate HTML)
* Good content
* Use natural links to connect different pages.
* Clear navigation
* Make a file named robots.txt and keep at wwwroot.It looks like

Disallow: /avirupadminpages

* Dont be afraid to link out to quality related resources throughout your site.
* Use GOOGLE suggest to find keywords
* Name files using terms suiting search phrase
like hotspotstatistics.html --> hotspot-trends.html
* All Search Spiders like fresh content, if the site keeps updating with new quality content, they love to visit regularly for updates. News sites and forums are regularly crawled for fresh news and new posts respectively.
*It is better to have a small number of keywords preferably one keyphrase or two or three variants of the same key phrase
* Keep 250 words per page maximum
*Keywords can be differnet on different pages.Each page of your site should be optimized for different keywords.Keep them at top of page
* Emphasis or italics on important points and / or use bulleted lists to make the text easier to digest.(Placing the keywords in bold and underline text.)
NOTE:Some suggested that GOOGLE dont like same word bolded as it seems like SEO hack(over optimization penalty).But that is debatable.

use your keywords in many of the page elements such as

  • page title
  • meta description
  • H1 header tag
  • H2 or H3 subheaders between every few paragraphs

    • * www.google.com/addurl.html can be used for the invitation but it will get you only google bot and that too after some weeks.Get links from good sites, this will help spiders find their way to your site. ->If http://www.linuxquestions.org is linking to the new site http://www.avirup.info ,then when google comes for regular visits to www.linuxquestions.org , it will get the path to avirup.info and will crawl it in few days,if not in few hours.This depends on frequency of google visit to the linuxquestions.org i.e.SOLICIT links from high qlt sites whose contents are related to yours
