Welcome to Asom Yearbook

Asom Yearbook, an annual publication is the first and only yearbook in the Assamese language. It was first published on 1st January, 2002 which has now entered its third year of publication amidst great expectations from the reading public. It is published on 1st January each year. Being most comprehensive and informative, the first two editions of the yearbook have been very well received by the entire cross section of the society and particularly students, teachers, employers and employees have benefited vastly from this yearbook. The career concern section of the society is always in high tempo of collecting the latest edition of the yearbook.

Asom Yearbook, edited by Dr. Nabajyoti Sarma
, has been described by several newspapers and magazines in the state as "the most useful and essential powerhouse of knowledge and information and a ready reference for every individual in all occasions who knows Assamese".

As the publisher,
Saraighat Prakashan is a very well reputed and established group, it has an extensive circulation outlet throughout the state.

With the crisis of employment in the state, particularly after the Assam Movement, there has been a need for a book which could help the new generation in particular to prepare for better opportunity and jobs inside as well as outside the state. Assam Yearbook bridges the gap.

The first edition of the
Asom Yearbook was released by Sahitya Academy Award winner famous poet and retired IAS officer Sri Ajit Baruah, in January 2002. Since then, Asom Yearbook has grown into Assam's most respected and widely circulated annual publication.
