10 Most Wanted List

The following is a list of people that I desperately need information on. Please contact me if you have anything at all on any of them. Thanks.

1. Frances Moody, my ggggg grandmother. Born in the early 1700's. She had at least 4 children out of wedlock by a wealthy married man, Robert Ellyson. One of these children, Sterling Moody, was my gggg grandfather. He was born in the mid 1700's. Married to Mary Nunnally 21 Dec 1793 in Chesterfield, Virginia, died in 1795. Sterling had one son, William Woolridge Moody

2. John F. Fitzgerald, b. 1856 in NY. Moved to Hampton VA. Married to Mary Roberta Gage. Children were Mary Selina, Sarah Angie(Sadie), Edward, Louisa, Catherine, and Hugh. His parents were John Fitzgerald b. about 1820 in Ireland and Catherine?

3. George W. Gage b. 1813 in VA, wife - Susan A.? They were in the 1850 James City County, VA census and int the 1860 census of York County, Virginia. Children were Margaret (married John F. Cully) George W. (or George H.) and Sarah A.

5. James Alva Lee, my great grandfather. Born 5 Jun 1846 in MS, married Nancy Mahulda Isaacks in 1872. I believe his parents may have been Thomas Lee and Jemah Byrd. However I do know that he had a sister named Elsie who does not appear in any census with the Thomas Lee family. Thomas married later in life to Emily Condry after his first wife died and Elsie could be from that marriage, but still I have not found her in any census. I also need information on Thomas Lee and Jemah Byrd. I know that Jemah was probably the daughter of Elam Byrd.

6. Henry Purswell, my gggg grandfather. Born 1781 in PA, moved to Barnwell District SC. Married to Rachel Bright. Died around 1867 in Barbour County, AL. Family tradition has it that the Purswell surname originated when a Scottish sailor named Henry Purs came to America and married a lady whose surname was Well. They supposedly combined their surnames to Purswell. It is believed that Henry Purswell is the son of Henry Purs and ? Well. I also would like to have information on Henry Purs and Ms. Well.

7. Catherine or Rachel Bright. Married to Henry Purswell (see above). Born prior to 1795 in Orangeburg District SC. I believe her father was Ezekial Bright. She is listed in 2 censuses as "Catherine" but other documents have her as "Rachel" possibly "Rachel Catherine"?

8. Ann Sterling, born 1760, married Isaac Dyches in 1775. Father Isam or Isham Sterling

9. Samuel Isaacks, born about 1685 in Scotland. Emigrated to Wales and then to America around 1725. Died in 1750 in Frederick County VA.
