Boldo is a tree, from the monimia family classified as Peumus Boldus and it is originally from Chile. The leaves are thin, oval and elliptic, of short stems, with whole borders, always presenting a grizzly green color with the edge bent down, measuring about 4 to 6 cm long and 3 cm wide.

This tree is found mainly on the central and southern areas from Chile, over the mountains adjacent to the Pacific Ocean and the Andes mountain range.
The harvest of Boldo, is carried out during the summer time (December to March) and it is carried out by people who collect the leave in the forests. In this stage only the healthy leaves as for its color and appearance, are extracted from the tree for its later drying process under the sun.

Once dried, the boldo is cleaned, turning in to a fragile crispy leave. For that, it is packed gently in sacks of 25 or 30 Kg. each.
Finally this product is ready to be exported....
