Proving The Dead Sea Scrolls False (Ref. “The Dead Sea Scrolls”, Wise, Abegg, Cook)

First and foremost the Dead Sea Scrolls are supposedly the oldest documents of the God of Moses. These scrolls were hidden in caves and deteriorated with time and natural causes. We can only deal with the remainder of the wording at hand. Truthfully there is not much to really deal with in these scrolls, so if you are looking for some divine new evidence, you will be disappointed. If anything they show the opposite, by the variance in stories from today‘s versions. The rest of this page will be noting a Fragment Listing Reference, a system of naming each fragment of the scrolls that was found and then translating it. These translations were done by professional scholars, not me. So I am not retranslating to suit my needs, I am merely pointing out what the scrolls say.

1QapGen. Col 13 God creates a rainbow in the sky after the great flood.

Point: To say no rainbow existed before the flood would only mean that there was neither reflection or refraction possible, which would mean the world and everything on it was black. This is the same as modern bible stories.

1QpHab.Col 13 God says to kill all those that worship false gods.

Point: This is saying to kill all those that don’t believe in the same belief. Imagine if this was so today. And this was the wording that caused the death of millions of innocent people throughout history.

1QS, 4Q255,264a, 5Q11. Col. 3-4 Shows that 2 spirits (the spirits of truth and falsehood) determine who is good and who is bad.

Point: This either shows that they make us do evil or good, or that they judge whether we are evil or good. Either way, it seems this should be God’s job. A person cannot help but note the mythological representation in this.

1Q29 Frag. 1-7, 4Q376 Frag. 1 Col. 1-2 States the use of the oracle stone to prove a true or false prophet (different that what newer version use in their bible). The prophet holds the stones., one in each hand. A cloud with tongues of fire comes forth. If the right hand stone remains uncovered in front of the whole congregation until the priest finishes speaking, that person is a true prophet. If the left hand stone is uncovered in front of the whole congregation until the priest finishes , the prophet is a false prophet.

Point: Where are these oracle stones, and why aren’t they used today? Notice the change in statement of testing a prophet compared to today’s versions, a big difference. In versions today, they state that a true prophet is tested by seeing if what he states comes to pass, if it does, he was told by God. So if I predicted rain the next day, and it rained, I would be a true prophet. See any flaws in that?

4Q203, 1Q23, 2Q26, 4Q530 - 532, 6Q8 States that angels mated with human women to have Giants (Titans) that were three thousand cubits (450 feet) high and how the angels defiled animals with unnatural acts to create monsters.

Point: These are the same mythical creatures as Titans were in Greek and Roman mythology. And angels having immoral sex with animals to create monsters is ridiculous.

4Q530 Frag. 2 Enoch foretells of the great flood that will kill all living things and whatever is in the desert and the seas.

Point: So this shows that someone else besides Noah was pre warned about the great flood. Second, this says Noah had to save ALL the creatures in the waters also. So how did the whales come to the ark?

4Q254a Describes the measurements of the ark as the same as in the bible versions we know today.

Point: An ark with those measurements couldn’t fit the animals.

4Q265 Frag. 7 Col. 1 States the laws pertaining to Sabbath Day. An animal that has fallen into the water on the Sabbath Day must be left to drown. a man that falls into the water can only be drawn out with a garment and not an implement. An implement would be considered “work” and is not permitted on the Sabbath day.

Point: This shows that if you don’t have a garment to throw to another person drowning then you just let them die.

4Q265 Frag. 7 Col. 2 States that Adam was not born into the garden of Eden, nor brought into the garden right away after his creation. It states that Adam had to wait to be purified from ceremonial uncleanness before entering the garden.

Point: This shows Adam wasn’t pure when created like religious people would believe.

4Q287 Frag. 2 States of God’s angels of fire and spirits of cloud.

Point: Now angels are on fire and spirits are cloud-like. Mythology imagery comes to mind. And if angels can’t burn because they are immortal, how can people sent to hell burn or feel fire then? Is hell fire different than angel fire?

4Q392 Frag. 1 States the idea of double creation and that both light and darkness exist in God simultaneously , but that he also created a world of separation of light and darkness for man. So he actually created double of all his creation for man’s sake.

Point: This is also a Zoroastrian idea that everything was double creation known as “menog”. Scholars have long noted the parallels in the scrolls with certain Zoroastrian beliefs.

4QMMT: 4Q394 - 399 Section B States that you cannot sacrifice an animal and it’s fetus on the same day. But that it is okay to eat an animal’s fetus from the womb of the animal.

Point: This is morbid in itself to kill pregnant animals or eat their fetus.

4Q559 Scholars started adding up the numbers in Genesis. They soon began to notice that these numbers imply that some of Noah’s ancestors lived through the Flood, while Genesis explicitly says the opposite: none survived other than those on the ark. The scholars solved this problem straightforwardly and efficiently: they simply changed the numbers.

Point: Seems they will always change the errors to keep their religion alive, without thinking those errors might be there because the whole idea in their religion was just made up by man and shows man’s flaws in making it.

11Q19 - 20 Col. 45 States that you cannot eat 4 legged winged insects.

Point: Flying insects don’t have 4 legs, they have 6 legs.

11Q19 - 20 Col. 54 States that any prophet that says to serve any other gods is a false prophet and must be killed. And that any person that worships a false idol shall be stoned to death.

Point: This is a means to control and kill people of other beliefs or ideas. This same idea is the basis of why Christians killed scientists for saying the Earth was flat, because they were going against the bible statement that the earth has 4 corners.

11Q19 - 20 Col. 63 States that when a woman is taken after a battle on the enemy, that a man that desires her can take her as a wife.

Point: This is forced slave marriage.

11Q19 - 20 Col. 64 States that if you have a stubborn rebellious child, that child will be stoned to death.

Point: Killing your own child for being stubborn is immoral and ethically wrong.
