Christian: Atheists want to take "under God" out of the pledge and "In God We Trust" off of money, and in doing so promotes atheism.
Atheist: That is not so, atheists only want equal rights, pushing atheism would be putting "No God" in the pledge and on money. Taking out "under God" and "In God We Trust" only makes it neutral for all. It is Christians that are pushing their beliefs in the government system. This is something even Christians don't deny. After all the original pledge and money didn't have "God" in or on them.
AMERICA FOUNDED ON CHRISTIANITY?:
Christian: Our country was founded on Christianity.
Atheist: Actually America was owned by the Native Americans until the Christians came along overtaking the land, so America was really founded on the religion of Native American Indians. And don't forget, the New America was supposed to be a melting pot for ALL BELIEFS not just one. SEEING IS BELIEVING:
Christian: Just because you cannot see God, does not mean he is no there. Can you see air?
Atheist: Air is scientifically tested and proven, your god is not. I have the right NOT to believe in gods, fairies or leprechauns that I cannot see if I so wish.
OXYMORON, "YOU CANNOT PROVE GOD DOESN'T EXIST":
Christian: You cannot prove God doesn't exist.
Atheist: That is an OXYMORON statement. You cannot prove fairies do not exist. No proof denotes nonexistence, in itself. Believing in unproven things is where "faith" comes in to play.
CANNOT PROVE CHRISTIANITY FALSE?:
Christian: You cannot prove Christianity is false.
Atheist: Atheists can prove it false in the same way Christians prove other religions false, by science and history:
1) Your bible is proven false beyond a doubt by science and history. A false bible denotes a false religion and a false God for not keeping his bible unfalse.

2) No evidence that Jesus or God existed. Funny how neither God nor Jesus ever wrote their own words down for man. Was it too hard for them to do so? Thus your religion is proven false by your own standards of how you determine other religions are false. What is good for the goose is good for the gander, as they say.

THE BIBLE WAS FLAWED BY MAN, NOT GOD:
Christian: The bible is not false. it is flawed by man, and earlier writers.
Atheist: Funny how Christians never use that excuse for other religions and their stories. Instead if another religion has one thing flawed, the whole religion is false. If your God cannot keep his words clean and pure from man, then he is a weak god indeed, and maybe one that couldn't tell the future. If indeed the bible is flawed then it is man that is picking and choosing what is true or not in the bible. Here is an idea, have your God create an indestructable unchangable bible himself, after all he is God.
THE BIBLE IS FULL OF METAPHORS AND PARABLES:
Christian: The bible is full of parables and metaphors. Doesn't mean Dragons, and Unicorns are real.
Atheist: Since when would a factual book of God use fictional narratives of mythical creatures to explain a moral idea? Then I guess Christians will have no problem explaining what the metaphorical meanings of these are then:
1) Big Red Dragon (Satan).
2) Talking serpent
3) Fire breathing sea monster
4) Unicorn
5) Sun orbits the Earth
6) Earth is flat
7) Guardians of heaven that are half man half lion and have eyes all around their heads
8) The beast and 666 on the foreheads of man
9) Jesus lying to his disciples on the time of his return.
So when the bible says God has the strength of a unicorn, would it be the same as saying God has the strength of the Tooth Fairy?
JESUS AND JEHOVAH (CHRISTIAN GOD) ARE ABOUT LOVE AND HONESTY:
Christian: Jesus and God are about love.
Atheist: Funny, you could never tell by reading the bible:
1) Even Jesus wanted to kill and was full of hate and lies.
