Comments: women have been wronged and suppressed for way too long. even the bible supports the claim that women are inferior: the new testament says: "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being eceived was in the transgression." That is a quote from the most widely read, believed and followed book in the world. this is what women are up against. And even though we no longer burn "witches" and rape is now condemned (the bible says that a woman should marry her rapist), the prejudice that has been taught and preached for so many years is still a fundamental belief in the minds of millions of men and women. the fight is still on and raging.

Comments: In this political caos called Russia, I wonder, where are the women? Politics is very much a business for women! If you like it or not, all the politcal decitions being taken conserns women, first of all. Here in Norway we have left allmost all political business to the women. They do a excellent job, have the right priorities (family, health care) and are much more able to reach workable compromizes over the politcal borders. Standing in a cue, wainting for my coat at the wardrobe at the Marinskij Theatre in St.Petersburg, whatching how these old women, the classical Russian Babushka, behind the counter managed to restore "law & order", much better than the president himself. Here is a much undervalued human resorce. When will we see a Russian Gro Harlem Bruntland, Goulda Meir or even a Margaret Thatcher?
