Hey everybody, this here is the new, first and only Emerson Youth Group Homepage, hosted by Jon (Reveal) Whitten-Lege. This page will always be under revision and though currently providing you with calendars of events, synopsis of the Liberal Relegious Youth organization and links to our connections on the web, anything else you decide you want along the way should be e-mailed to me at reveal@flash.net. For an instant connection via e-mail to all your fellow Liberal Religious Youth just enter your e-mail and click join at the icon bellow. Join the list and you'll never be left in the dark. Thanks for stopping by, and if your questions aren't answered, e-mail me.

LRY is the Highschool youth group of Emerson Unitarian Church. Our organization has been active in the Houston area for longer than I've gone to the church. My name is Jon Whitten-Lege, and I have been a member of the Emerson community since age four. I am now 17 and will turn 18 in October. In 1997-98 I was the co-president of the LRY youth group and had the previlage of being in a leadership role during a major turning point year in the focus of the LRY as a whole.

In one year we expanded our group to exist beyond church functions through the wednesday night dinners, we super increased Emerson attendance at district level functions such as ralley's(huge gatherings of U.U. youth from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Luisiana, and some parts of other states that I forget, that last for a weekend and are super cool/super fun awesomeness). We even hosted the 1998 Houston ralley at our very own Emerson church. In conjunction with youth from First Unitarian Church, Bay Area Church, Woodlands, and more we continued on to set up the ground work for a Houston wide Unitarian youth connection. Now with the Houston network Youth Adult Commitee, the HAC-YAC, and our increased activities beyond the confines of Sundays and church grounds the need for a Emerson specific webpage has arrisen. Well here it is.
