FAMOUS AFRICAN BROCHURE

Directions: Select a famous African (living or dead) from the list provided. Research why the person is famous, what he/she has accomplished, any conflicts he/she has been involved in & what the connection to a country in Africa is.

Using Microsoft Publisher create a brochure that presents your research about a famous African.

The brochure must include the following:

Panel 1 – Title, name of person, picture (of the person or something associated with the person) and a map of the country in Africa they are associated with.
Panel 2 – Background about the person (when and where was the person born, education, family, when the person died etc.).
Panel 3 – Accomplishments (why is this person famous?).
Panel 4 – Difficulties/conflicts that the person had to face and overcome.
Panel 5 – Two or three pictures or symbols that represent the person and show you have an in-depth knowledge of him/her.
Panel 6 – Bibliography.

Finally you will present your brochure to the class and discuss the life of your famous African.
