After teaching for 34 years in Iowa and Illinois, I retired from teaching on June 7, 2002. I taught several different grades, but am now ready to pursue the second half of my life. I love playing golf and plan on working on my game to lower my handicap. I also love reading, walking, biking, and going to live theater and music concerts.
I wanted to move out of Illinois to a warmer climate and built a home at PebbleCreek Golf Resort in Goodyear, AZ. I moved in on February 12, 2003 after a three day drive across Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and finally down the mountain to my new home. Goodyear is in the West Valley of Phoenix. I am only about 16 miles to downtown Phoenix.
I lost my beloved Puccini to brain cancer in March of 2006. You can see how beautiful he was on his web page by clicking below on Puccini. I have a new rescue dog, named Phoenix, who is a wonderful companion. He now has his own web page and you can see several pictures of him bt clicking below on Phoenix.
