The John Romer Resource Page

About the John Romer Resource Page

My interest in Mr. Romer began when I was a young art history student and saw his TV series Testament on PBS in 1988. After viewing his other series on The Learning Channel, I became very interested in his scholarship and personal views on the ancient (and later) world. I acquired all of his videos and books, and read his journal articles. I am an admirer of his, but I always try to maintain some objectivity with regards to his presentation of certain topics. I certainly don't agree with everything he says, but I appreciate his works and enjoy the exuberant enthusiasm with which he approaches his subjects.

When I first got on the Internet, I saw that there was basically nothing about Romer on the Web. I resolved to create this page, where the people who were interested in him could get a listing of all his publications and visual works, as well as relevant information about him on the Internet. (Hence, the alt.satanism FAQ is not listed as an Internet Resource.) It is a labor of love, which I hope to continue into the far future.
