I probably won't be able to help you much.  My specialty is Jefferson's
writings, and I am not an historian.  Your best bet to answer the
questions you raise would be to refer to Dumas Malone's biography,
"Jefferson and His Time," vol. 6.  Appendix II (pg. 505) covers
"Jefferson's Financial Affairs," and includes The Final Estate of Thomas
Jefferson on pg. 511.  Vol. 6 should provide information on his surviving
daughter, Martha Jefferson Randolph, also.
