Sony Mavica FD-7 Photos

Turner Falls, Oklahoma

The following photographs were taken on September 30, 1997 from the observation station above Turner Falls, Oklahoma on Scenic U.S. 77. The location of the falls and the falls pool is about 350 meters horizontal in distance and about 200 meters vertical in distance to the top of the 25 meter falls. Using the Pythagorean theorem, this yields an approximate distance of 400 meters to the top of the falls from where the photographs were taken. The photographer is Kenneth Cole. The first photograph was taken with the widest angle setting. The second photograph was taken at the same place as the first photo using the maximum telescopic zoom setting.

Telescopic Photograph for Closest View Possible

I have been really impressed with my ability to take quality photos like this with the Mavica FD-7. I do use a tripod when taking these photos in the Fine/Frame settings.
