Garage Cleaning

It's a great pleasure to clean my garage. All the treasures accumulated for many years finally are observed, organized, recycled and trashed. I find it sad to get rid of some of the stuff in my garage. Yesterday, I did an inventory of all the valuable items. For example, I have a large sofa which needs some repair. Some of the wood supporters broke and my wife Linda wanted a new sofa to replace it, instead of letting me fix it. So, out the door it went, straight to the garage. One of these days I'll have to fix the sofa so that its value could increase a bit more. I will also have put a sign on it. It will say something like this; " Warning, people over 200 pounds sit at their own risk." This sign will release me from any future law suits. Another item I have in the garage is a Pin-Pong Table. I use it every year to play with my daughter.

She likes to beat me whenever she has the time to play and the mosquitoes outside are not too aggressive. The last time we played I spent more time slapping the mosquitoes off my face than hitting the ping-pong ball. There are also many boxes in my garage. They are of every size available. Small ones, medium ones, and Super large ones. I try to keep all the boxes for all the things I purchase. This is just in case I have to move one of these days. Then, I won't have to purchase any boxes for all the electronic gadgets I have at home. It has not happened in the last 12 years but maybe it will during during the next 12. I also have all sort of wood pieces. Two by fours, long decorative panels, dry wall sheets, small pieces of oak, and old counter top I took out from my kitchen and about 200 other assorted pieces of different sizes. There is also pieces of PVC pipe, Cans of paint, an old snow blower, my old lawn mower, some pieces of ceiling and other building materials.

It makes it hard just to look at all the stuff I have in my garage. It is so bad that I can put our cars in the garage because there is no space for them. Believe me, we clean it every year and every year we fill it up again. I guess that I'm not alone in this world. There are many men like me who have a garage but really it is a junk collection storage. One of these days I'm calling a truck to hall it all away when I'm not at home. This way I won't miss a thing. The only thing I'll tell them to leave alone is the Ping Pong Table -- I enjoy very much chasing the ball all over the back yard when I play with my daughter!
