I was looking for info on Deaf in the Philippines and found your page. I will be coming to the Philippines in Feb with my church on what we call a Prayer Task Force. This is where we come in and we pray for the country, for God's power and glory to be seen. We will be going to IloIlo. I was wondering about Christian Deaf in the Philippines. I think there is also a k-12 school started in Mainilla by a Missionary last name is Clauser. Let me know if you have heard of this.

In answer to your question - no I am not Phillipino but I am an interpretor for the Church that I attend in Adelaide, South Australia. I have been in charge of the Deaf for th last 12 months as they only came to the church when they knew I was there. I am trying to find out different churches etc that have been successful in their deaf ministry. As there are none in Adelaide that are truley sucessfull I was looking overseas ia the internet. I am interested in how to help the deaf at the church to learn more about Jesus and in particular enable them to be able to take over responsibility for the Home Fellowship groups for the deaf. I am presently in charge of the home fellowship group becau e the deaf in Adelaide have not had the training needed to leed a group. My desire is to empower them to take control of their lives and to evangelise the deaf of Audtralia to see a great revival in the deaf community. I do not want them to be "healed"o their deafness rather I see their deafness as a different cultural minority in Australia that needs to be reached for Jesus.
