Travel.log : Hampi - a city in ruins

Welcome to a guided tour to Hampi, the city that is still being discovered. Capital of the Vijayanagar kingdom, a triumph of art and architecture, science and sensitivity.
An ancient city, rediscovered among ruins, lies before you. Among the rocky hills, the rivers, and the forests, archeologists have found a city, with palaces, temples, houses, resting-stops for the tired traveller, and much more. Cast in stone, the images sing and dance to you. Each pillar of the main Vittala temple is a different musical instrument which you can play!!! The stone drums, the bells, even the harmonium. Unbelievable, but true.
