Riding the waves of despair,
I manage to stay afloat,
to get to the dark waters of you
There are boats all around us,
including my little one,
but you won't climb aboard
You float there, within my reach,
and I can only watch helplessly
as you sink and rise, sink and rise
I am choked with fear and grief
as I realize there may come a time
when you no longer rise
A time when I could lose you,
and in essence lose myself
because I'm nothing without you
It's agony to see such beauty
lost in such a tragic place
when it doesn't have to be
My heart is breaking
from the weight of the waves
and the depth of the darkness
And I wish I could go with you
and taste of the empty peace
just to be with you
Maybe as we floated there
in the serenity of dark nothingness,
I could finally touch you
Maybe I have magic too.
