Spiritual Poetry

Karma

When we learn to let go; only then can we receive.
When we learn to serve; only then do we become the master.
When we learn to be always a student; only then do we become the teacher.
When we learn compassion; we can become the difference between love and hate.
When we spend our energies seeking; we never have anything left to find.
When we strive to make ourselves empty, only then may we be filled.

The Wheel

The moment we begin to define what is good and what is evil;
we let them loose upon the world.

The moment we cast judgement of someone's morality,
we ourselves become immoral.

The moment we make a rule;
someone decides they are the exception.

The moment we devise a law,
the lawyers begin looking for loopholes.

The moment we think ourselves someone's better,
we only demonstrate our inferiority.

The moment money becomes more important than people;
people become expendable.

The moment hatred becomes greater than love;
hope turns to desperation.

The moment hope gives way to desperation,
desperation becomes suffering.

The moment desperation becomes suffering;
we begin to define what is good and what is evil…
