"Home"

You have found our webhome! Welcome!

Hello! This is Mike.

I am an asst prof of Math (go statistics!) at a community college in Connecticut. I graduated from SUNY-Albany with a Master's and Siena College in New York with a Bachelor's in Math, then taught for 5 years at UMM, where I met my wife.

Shortly after, we spent a year and a half in Valdosta, Georgia, where we baked in the humidity but also met some great people. We have been married 14 years now, despite the fact that my idea of a perfect 1st anniversary celebration would be to order pay-per-view wrestling. I still struggle some with "cave man" tendencies such as this, according to my wife.

I have many happy childhood memories of weekends and summer vacations playing stratomatic football and baseball. My favorite teams are the Montreal Canadiens Hockey, Nebraska Cornhusker Football, and Dodgers Baseball. Here are some pictures of me and my Dad when I was only 2.

*welcome*

We moved to Connecticut about 10 years ago and live in a condo. Although we technically have no "backyard," we have a view of a small stream, where we enjoy watching the mallards, birds, squirrels, and various wildlife. We have seen heron, kingfisher, geese, diving ducks, and deer.

We love Manchester, the "City of Village Charm" and we are now blessed to have family in the area, since Tanya's mom and brother moved up from New Mexico to join us here. We recently added a fabulous member to our family, when mom married Dave (aka "Ritzy").

I, Tanya, grew up in Minnesota, where I graduated from Morris High School and studied English Lit at UMM while working with some of the sweetest and smartest people you'll ever meet - librarians! (to this day I work with books, at St. Joseph College.) Back then, Mike would come in each day to read the USA Today, and one day asked me out in the stacks, a daunting task (being the daughter of the town's chief of police.) God hand picked him for me.

One of our passions is teaching kg sunday school. We use David C. Cook curriulum and supplement with ideas from msss crafts and resources and dktl bible.

Another passion is our pets. We adopted our sweet guinea pig, Julie, from Critter Connection (Durham, CT). Our household also includes a very smart, adorable chinchilla named Albert (from the humane society) and a ringneck dove, who loves popcorn and has us wrapped around his long purple fingers. He brings laughter to our house. If you'd like to see pictures, visit my other site here
