HUMAN RELIGIONS, PAST AND FUTURE
Hundreds of religions and philosophies are currently engaged in the centuries-old conflict over the hearts and minds of the human species. Crusades and intolerant missionaries are not a thing of the past; at this very moment in some corner of the world many of Humanity's sacred beliefs are being stamped out by modern 'holy warriors'. Which ideologies will prevail in the near future? Will humans always be religious so long as our knowledge of the world is limited? Will the religions of submission to tyrannical gods and magic-manipulation give way to religions of liberation and awakening?

Also, here are some human-rights websites relating to the persecution of religious believers. Buddhists have been under attack by Islam for over a thousand years, and also by the agents of international Christianity and Communism (both through violence and social manipulation). Because they do not retaliate with force or have any media clout (the Dalai Lama excepted) Buddhists would seem to be an easy target, but the more people learn about these issues the more voices we have against such persecution.
