DO NOT necessarily represent my views. In fact, I find some of them offensive, but it is the only way to avoid those very annoying and equally offensive pop-up windows.
There is plenty of hot debate these days about the origin of life. Some folks say that inert matter suddenly became living, and that we are the supreme result of that logical impossibility.
My friend Samuel Bollinger has taken the time and trouble to compile a host of excellent arguments on the topic. I heartily reccommend a visit to his Excellent Site
This page is a Christian apologetic. It is my intent to demonstrate the rational nature of the Christian faith by examining some basic questions and then presenting certain evidences that an honest mind will find it difficult, if not impossible, not to accept on their merits.
I understand that there are some people who have decided that the God of the Bible is just another of the gods that the world follows, and that one religion is as good as another. Think of it like this: If you put your trust in Him and He does not exist there is no penalty and you lose nothing, but if the God of the Bible does exist and you have decided otherwise, you are toast.
So look with an open heart, and see whether we Christians have a case or not.
Is there really a God? If so, what is He like and what does He require of me? How can I know not only that He exists, but that He cares about me? But I was taught that man evolved from lower forms millions of years ago, so how can I be made in God's image? Besides, the universe is billions of years old, and everything just happened by chance, didn't it? We will address these and other interesting questions.
Who am I? I am Bob Moore, an ordinary man. There is nothing special about me that sets me above the rest of men. I am a man who used to think that he was a Christian because he went to church, paid lip service to the LORD, and would, if pressed, say that the Bible was true. But I was also a man who showed no evidence of genuine saving faith. I was a man who knew what the Scriptures said, more or less, but there was never any application in my life or daily relevance in them for me. I am a man who did as he pleased and always rationalized his behavior so that he wouldn't have to change anything. I am a man who, although he repeatedly read the Truth in the Scripture, didn't really believe it. I am a man who thought that God would surely not mind if I did such-and-such or so-and-so, after all I am only a man and I have my weaknesses. He will make allowances for me. He has to because I want him to. I was wrong.
Nearly a half century into this journey He grew weary of my rebellion
and brought me to the edge of destruction. He showed me just who I really
was, and, most importantly, just who He Is.
Once the turning is made the Spirit of God will dwell in the man and will reveal both God the Father and God the Son, i.e. Jesus Christ. And that new man will wonder how it was that he was so blind for so long.

One does not have to study the science of Theology for years, hold advanced degrees in Religion, reform ones' life, or do anything at all except: "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved". It is as simple as that. It is a free gift that God will give to anyone who asks because "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame", so, "with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation".
This leads to the question: What is righteousness? This is rightly of paramount concern because a right view of righteousness leads to a right view of God. Without righteousness one can understand neither God nor the things of God. Many people make the mistake of confusing works with righteousness. Let's look at what the Scripture says about righteousness. "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted (i.e. imputed) to him for righteousness." So then we see that what God requires is that we believe Him. Because "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God", we are to live by what He has said. If we believe Him we are by definition righteous, and the evidence of that belief is found in our obedience. Remember that Jesus said "But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do the things which I say?"
Of the man in his natural state it is truly said that "There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God." This is how to solve that problem: Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened". (Emphasis mine).
You might as well admit to God what you know in your heart to be true: You are a sinner. Repent, and ask Him to assume His rightful place of mastery in your life. He is faithful and true. He will make you a new creation after His own image.
His word is trustworthy and true, and, notwithstanding your personal opinion, upon it your eternal future depends.

Most people will make errors in LOGIC. These errors come in all shapes and sizes and result in false conclusions. Both those who defend and those who oppose the Gospel make these errors, usually because of ignorance, but sometimes because of malice. Here is how to recognize
