Deleting a Notes Submission

The following question has come up: How do you delete an item from Ideas, Best Practices, etc.?

I assume deleting one's own submission was meant. Generally speaking, only those whose access is Manager or Editor level (or possibly Designer) can delete documents other than their own. Authors of documents should be able to delete their own documents, at least up to a certain point in the process. To delete a document, go to the document list. Select that document, then press the Delete key. The document will then be marked for deletion (with a trash can), though it will not actually be deleted until the database is exited.

If you cannot delete your own document or comment, ask the Idea Manager, Best Practices Manager, etc., or perhaps your MIX Coordinator, to delete it.

To find your Manager for that database, do the following (from Notes Help):

"If you use Notes mail, you can discover the names of the managers of a database. Select or open the database, then choose Mail - Compose - Memo to Manager. In the To: field of the mail memo, you'll see the users, groups, and servers assigned manager access. You can just read the list, or you can send the manager(s) a mail memo, if you have suggestions or comments about the database. If you don't use Notes mail you can discover the names of the database managers in the Database Catalog, a Notes database that should be available on any Notes server at your organization. If you can't find it, ask your Notes administrator."
