Electronic Publishing 
(This program is offered under a consortium of the departments of Art, Journalism, and Photography) 

This program will give the students skills in the fields of Graphic Design, Journalism, and Photography and in the use of computers to produce newspapers, newsletters, advertising, and brochures. 

Journalism 
This program is designed for the student intending to work reporting, writing, and/or editing on a daily or weekly newspaper, magazine, television, radio, new media, or in public relations or free-lance writing. 

Note: Journalism 101 should be taken by Journalism majors during their first semester

This program is designed for the student intending to pursue newspaper work on a small daily or weekly community newspaper, magazine work, radio, television, new media, public relations, or free-lance writing. 

Note:  Journalism 101 should be taken by Journalism majors during their first semester. 

Transfer Progams: 

Journalism 
Journalism majors are encouraged to join the newspaper staff in order to get hands-on experience in the field.  Such experience may or may not count as transferable units for a university major, but the experience is invaluable in helping the student understand other journalism classes at both the two-year and the four-year level and will help the student set professional goals.
