DIVERSITY IN A LONG AND SLENDER LAND
The DESTINO CHILE website is designed and maintained by Mark Rosenblum. I teach at Everett Alternatives High School in Everett, Washington and I was fortunate enough to participate in a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship trip to Chile for six weeks during July and August of 1997. These web pages are a product of that trip. Included are lesson plans developed by the
Central Washington University.
We all feel extremely fortunate to have
had this opportunity to learn about many aspects of Chilean history, culture,
politics, economics and daily life. Through the writing and distribution
of this document, which we consider a work in progress, we hope to share
what we have learned with teachers and students in Washington, as well as
other states. We invite you to use, change, add to, and share our ideas
and lesson plans, and we also encourage you to look for and apply to programs
such as this one. A special thanks to Dr. Lungching Chao Program
Director at U.S. Department of Education.
