The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh has twice said that such temple would be constructed no matter what and immediately denied saying such. Video reports make him fool as it seldom lies. Knowing the propensity of these Hindu hooligans to start trouble, they have a track record for creating mayhem, the government of India does nothing. That must be a case of feces fascists' forgetfulness.
In the event of a conflict, says Musharraf, 'atomic weapons, as a first strike would be considered.' Things are getting too hot for the region. Belligerent speech is common for India and Pakistan but now the things have been radically altered as both have capacity, perhaps on the paper, to decimate vast portions, including the capitals of these feuding countries.
The business is not as usual. The nuclear proliferation in this sub continent was taken as a sure sign of the third world war by almost all nuclear and non-nuclear countries. US sanctions did not help at all. Now that president Clinton is making a goodwill trip to India and excluding a stopover to Pakistan the tensions have increased exponentially.
The democracy may have some form of checks and balances in the system, though pale in comparison to western, established democracies. The way I have described the Indian version of democracy there are no protections afforded to the innocent bystanders, the citizens of India. Once the rockets carrying nuclear weapons start rushing towards Delhi, Bombay, Chandihgadh, Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, all within comfortable striking distance from Pakistan, it would be too late for arm twisting tactics.
Musharraf is in between a rock and a hard place. He is a military man and I trust military men do their homework ahead of disclosing their evil plans. Such open threats to the peace in the region cannot be taken as simply bravado. There is lot bravery behind uttering such blasphemy and blackmail.

Deepa Mehta has been asked to remove herself and her movie crew from Varanasi after Delhi minister gave her a clear and unmistakable clearance on her movie shooting, 'Water.'
The bastards who claim that they are a social organization, not a political outfit found themselves fit and trim to terrorize not only the poor movie actresses and crew of Deepa Mehta but also the Delhi bada babus. Who runs this sewer called India anyway?
Kalyan Singh, the former chief minister predicted, so aptly that Ram Prakash Gupta could not find his ass and his late blooming political career as he, Ram Prakash Gupta is a nincompoop. This RSS man says something and denies it just as soon as the reporters and TV crew rushes to make it public. The pandemonium at Deepa Mehta's film shooting was controllable and manageable. After all, Gupta is a chief minister and has all the power he needs to keep rabble rousing RSS rowdies under control. That is exactly his job. Instead, he let the mob break all the rules and the culprits of this mayhem are not touched but poor innocent Deepa has been banished from Varanasi.
