Don't you just love how the canvas shows through the paint? I think
it helps this piece to flow. I made sure that no colour was absolute: that
each could bleed into the background, according to its light. Note how
the moon bleeds more than anything else. It bathes the pink woman in its
light, but the blue woman is cut off from that light, save through being
near the pink woman. The bright woman is long-haired and dancing, rejoicing
in life; the blue woman is solitary and diligent. This painting means a
lot to me-- it shows a lot of emotion. It's actual size is miniature, smaller
than what you see on the screen. Someone said that the feelings portrayed
were too large for its tiny frame. What do you think it says?
Since there isn't any colour, imagine the upper ring as yellow gold,
with emeralds and rubies for stones. Imagine the lower ring white gold,
with a sapphire in the center, and dark pearls on either end. Which of
the two do you prefer?
Isn't it cute?
