Greetings. This is an announcement that preparations are underway for Cuasayahan on December 30, l997. As a gift to the entire clan, the Cuasays of Spring Lake would like to organize a commemorative booklet for distribution at the Cuasayahan. The booklet will help every generation of the family to know each other better and to keep in touch. It will be dedicated to the loving memory of the dead of our clan: Pedro, Pablo, Aquilina, Angeles, and Sancho.

We hope that in addition to simple family information, some literary contributions and expressive works can be included in the booklet. We are looking forward to sharing thoughts and experiences either in English or Tagalog through this publication.

Please write us a letter responding to the two items below:

1) Family address, Names of members, Birthdays.

2) Please allow individual family members to describe their major accomplishments.

Enclose any creative work (writing, poems, essays, art work, etc.) on the themes of the booklet for this year's gathering:

• Share with us some memorable family experiences. It may be especially appropriate if these memories recall some of our dear departed relatives.

• Compose a personal message, insight, or lesson you wish to pass on to future generations of the clan.

The deadline for letters and submissions is August 31, 1997.
