Beginnings and endings are human terms
which only hold meaning for us.
The big bang has only just now begun,
the ending has already come;
for every second lasts centuries.
Time exists only for man.
All other animals, all but man,
see only existence and change.
Change they call death and, as we observe,
everything changes, everything dies.
Each second of time is a birth and a death;
death lost in birth lost in death.
