Forget The Fight
Dim the light
And we'll stop the fight
Move close together
And hold on forever
Whisper in my ear
And let me be able to hear
When you say I love you very much
And I want to feel your touch
Make sweet love together
In the most beautiful way
Hold each other very tight
And just forget about the fight.

Next Generation

Will be the worst thanks to this shit world
Full of wars and lies
What is this world coming too?
Everyone asks
It's coming to an end would be a common answer
Because that answer is correct
I can't wait for the end of the world
Get rid of pain, suffering, hatred, and everything else
I do like love, don't get me wrong
I do love, very much
It's just sad to know when you love
It will eventually end in time
But I still like love
What can we do to keep this world alive you ask?
I think we can all start thinking as one gigantic group
One gigantic world, Universe
But who would listen to me?
I mean, I'm only young right?
Which older person would listen to a younger point of view?
All the younger generation could say is "All"
One day this world will be destroyed
Hatred, Crime, Pain, suffering, Death, May be over
As far as a new and better place
We just have to wait and see for ourselves

Imagine

As I was sitting, in the room of loneliness,
longing for the love of another,
I leaned back to rest my weary head for a moment.

As I closed my eyes, I could see him,
Reaching in to touch my face,
Pulling me close to him.
I could feel the warmth of his breath on my skin.
I reveled in his passionate kiss.

Remembering that I had been alone,
I didn't want to open my eyes, for fear he would vanish.
Slowly I peeked, and realized that it was real.
He was there with me,
Reaching deep into my soul, trying to find my essence.
Letting me feel that he existed.

Trying not to show my fears, I held him tightly.
I clung to the joy and love he gave me.
At the moment I felt my heart would burst,
I tried to say "I love you", but he was no more.

Once again, I leaned back to rest my weary head.
Just for a moment.

Whisper

The deafening roar of anger, echoes through my head.
Silly words were spoken, that should never have been said.

To know that it will end this way, brings me too much pain.
Just so you know, without a doubt, I'll find you once again.

I see that I have made you hurt, and caused your heart to break.
It's more than I can handle, more than my soul can take.

When you're out, in the world, and hear a cry among the trees,
Think of me and listen close, it's your name upon the breeze.

I will whisper it each morning, as I begin my day.
I'll say it loud, upon the wind, to help it on its way.

Some day if it should find you, and reach into your heart.
Please know that I do think of you, I've missed you from the start.

Come back to me and take my hand, believe in all we knew,
A true and caring friendship, that brought me close to you.

-Not Alone-
As I was walking on the sand, as I was walking on the shore.
I felt like someone grabbed my hand, I felt like I was not alone.

At first I just looked around and stared, into the darkest night ever seen.
I was more than terrified and scared, and wondered who this could have been.

I was scared to find out who, who had been walking next to me.
I wondered if they were scared too, and if in this darknight they could see.

After hours of wondering around, I heard a voice calling my name.
After a while I heard a sound, something like a voice, but it wasn't the same.

It was a different voice this time, a voice that told me:
"You are not alone, and although time goes by and by, I will always be by your side."

I felt I knew this person, and that this person knew me.
He said he was the son, the son of God he was indeed.

He was the spirit and the voice, that had been walking next to me.
Althrough this night while I was alone, while I saw nothing not even him.

But he was always there with me, even when I tripped and fell into the sand.
He picked me up and helped me cross the sea, until we crossed to the other side of the land.

I was more than satisfied, knowing that I wasn't alone.
And that after all this time, there was someone who loved me in this world.

The Smile
by Kathy

The day was bright but I couldn't see,
I blamed the world for what has happened to me.
I sit for many hours and I just cry,
Trying to figure out the "Why".
Illness comes to many for no reason,
It doesn't matter what time nor what season.
We do everything we feel we must,
We don't understand because it never seems just.
As I take the long silent drive,
I dread the time when I will arrive.
The nurses and doctors move around busily,
Ensuring all are cared for so completely.
I sit and look around the room,
There is no laughter, only worry and gloom.
As I stare into an old book,
I have a strange feeling so I raise my eyes to look.
I see a small child with a gleam in her eyes,
Staring at me and to my surprise.
She walks right up and touches my hand,
I feel a tremble that I don't understand.
She says her name is Megan and asks for mine.
"My name is Kathy" , I say, "I hope you are doing fine."
"Oh yes," she says, "I feel good today,"
" The Doctor says tomorrow I can go outside to play."
She asks what I do an I say I teach school,
She says that is nice and for a teacher you seem cool.
I look a bit surprised at her comment,
She says, "Well, you know what I meant"
She smiles so big that it brightens the room,
A smile so sweet that is chases away the gloom.
She talks so fast that her Mother comes over,
And tells Megan "Honey, don't be a bother".
I look at her mom and tell her it's okay,
Your Megan here has brightened my day.
We know that everyone in the waiting room realizes,
We are here for the chemo treatment, so there are no real surprises.
Megan says she has been coming here for over a year,
And hopes some day the Doctor will say "All is clear."
The look in her eyes is that of hope for this child so small,
Her mother gives me a look that says it all.
I understand that Megan will probably never see,
The inside of the class I teach and love to be.
Suddenly, as if by some Divine plan,
Megan reaches over and again takes my hand.
"It is nice to meet you Ms Kathy", she beams,
Her smile looks as if she will burst at the seams.
I squeeze her hand as the nurse approaches me,
She pats my hand and says, "You'll be OK, you'll see."
As I leave the room she smiles,
Her joy and love covers many of my sad miles.
I sit and reflect on the words she said,
"I can play outside", they keep running through my head.
I think of how lucky I have been,
To have been privileged enough to do things over and over again.
When I see the courage of a small child,
Any problems I have all seem so mild.
But most of all it was that Smile,
Still beaming in my mind over many a mile.
Today I see the Blue Sky above,
I reflect on Megan and her Pure Sweet Love.
I see people so differently then I did before,
I promised myself never close any door.
The joy of life just to be here for today,
And maybe sometime I hope and pray.
"Hi Miss Megan welcome to my Class.", I say,
"Maybe today we can all 'Go Outside to play'."

I met Megan on August 23rd,1998.

"It's About Time"
by Oneasha Lewis

THEY have drummed all the natural
awareness out of our beings
THEY complicate, over rate, innovate, and
subjugate each event of our existence

Birth- our natural beginning - is perverted
into a circus sideshow
bright lights, uniforms, chemicals,
and sterile instruments are all part of
the scenario
what a glorious beginning
what an omen is the scream of a
newborn child

Death - our natural end - is the somber
circus
people we hardly know gather in
places we’ve never been to finally
pay attention to us
What a perfectly useless end to an
equally useless life

THEY have done all this - but the greatest
atrocity is what has been done to the
middle
what THEY have done to the period
between birth and death
the most grandiose perversion of them
all is what THEY have done to time

We have learned to neglect the
natural clocks of body and mind
THEY have taken the absolute beauty
of time and chopped it into
unrecognizable pieces
hours, minutes, days, years, seconds
THEY define it, standardize it,
measure it, and hope to conquer it

THEY put clocks all around us
we are late - the clock says so
we are hungry - the clock says so
we are tired - the clock says so
the clock must be right
without it we wouldn’t know when
to do anything
without it we would have to rely
on our instincts
without it we would measure our lives
by the sun and moon
THEY wouldn’t like that
who cares what THEY like?
who are THEY?
THEY are progress and nothing can
hold them back

THEY dictate the meter of our lives and
control us
THEY are the people of science - the
long arm of the industry - the manipulator
of the masses
THEY are to be feared

Forget the hungry - looking stranger
lurking around the corner
beware of the investigator of nature
beware of the social conscience
beware of those who govern you
beware of every new invention THEY
dangle in front of you
it may be as dangerous as the clock

Question their motives
investigate their background
determine their validity -
then take their new trinket and with
the strength of Hercules -
throw it back
It’s About Time.

Woman
by rthrope

Woman, how you move me,
how you make me undulate with love.
your soft hands,
soft lips
soft touch.
I feel myself burst with
a n t i c i p a t i o n.
You are the soul
that ive been looking for.
Woman, you make me who I am
your round curves,
your sweet breasts,
your succulent groin.
Oh woman, sweet woman.
Touch me again, and make me cry.
You are so sweet
so right
so mine.
When you wrap your love within me
when you let me in
I know you
and i know how much you love me.
Because our bodies fit together
into one beautiful entity.
I am incomplete without you.
Your mouth surrounds my love for you
your hands caress it,and you let me in,
you let me into your secret,
and I explode inside you and
know i love you

You
by K. Stevenson

There is a special place in my heart
just meant for two
Sometimes, all alone, I go there
When feeling blue

This place in my heart is filled
with laughter, sunshine and
a rainbow too.

And in this place there is a
treasure of gold and blue

It fills me with laughter and has
smiles which chase
away my blues

If you could look into my heart
you would see
My priceless treasure

IS YOU

That's life
by D. Gieser

I've fought lifes battles
through the years
experienced sorrows
defeatsand fears
my sprit is weary my back
is bowed
the load is heavy along
lifes road
