Tolkien invented at least five major alphabets with many variations. I list the major ones here with a few examples:
- Alphabet of Rúmil.
There is now published (in PE13) a special set of numerals in the Alphabet of Rumil, so I give here a little example of one of the numbers.
- Runes of Gondolin
I have just put up a new webpage giving a Chart for the Runes of Gondolin.
- Tengwar (in a mode used in Numenor)
I have now a page explaining the numerals of the tengwar system here.
- Goblin Alphabet
I plan to include charts of the alphabets showing how to write with them. Also, I will be adding links to the few other sites on the net that show how to use these alphabets.
