    The bilingual village of Noëlville, located in the Municipality of the French River (Cosby, Mason & Martland), is a central hub of a large are economically based on farming, saw mills and tourism located north of the French River and southeast of Sudbury. The village is easily accessible as it is located at the cross-road of Highway 64 and Highway 535. The village of Noëlville is home to a permanent population of 1500 with many more spending the summer at local cottages or tourist lodges and trailer parks.     We are becoming renown for our summer and winter activities such as the Family Hockey and Baseball Tournament, Fiddlers Festival in July. Noëlville is becoming famous across the country for its annual July Fiddler's Festival. In 1999, the village hosted its ninth annual Noëlville Fiddler's Festival. Once again, it was Christmas in July and the village welcomed close to 10,000 visitors. The Yuletide theme, in keeping with the town's name, decorated everything like it was December. Christmas trees sprung up, giant candy canes adorned lampposts, lights were twinkling in the trees, and Mr and Mrs Claus showed up with a custom made air-conditioned suit and a sleigh on wheels with goodies for the kids. Fiddler's from all over Canada descended on Noëlville to show off their talents and compete. Even more people came just to enjoy the music, the arts and craft show and the giant flea market. The Fiddler's Festival features competitors from across the country who go up against one another to test their fiddling.

    The land, as the settlers thought, is very fertile. With farms developing in all directions, prosperity came to Noëlville and now the community boasts many high-tech farms, mainly dairy and beef.
