"I actually started out wanting to do theater, but I went to theater school and got kicked out." Why did you get the boot? "I didn't do some assignment. Oh-and the dean's daughter... No, just kidding!" How did you get into acting in the first place? "Ihurt myself playing football and was moping, so my aunt took me to audition for a play. I landed the role of Huck Finn, and I was immediately addicted." Did you ever have a really horrible audition? "For The faculty, my character was the coolest guy in school. But when I walked into the audition, the director was sitting with his feet up on the table and he had a cowboy hat on. I was like , 'How am I supposed to be cool next to this guy?' I got all nervous and came off like the biggest idiot." You're cool enough to have tons of fans, that's for sure. Does being described as "hot" feel weird? "I don't want to say I've never thought of myself as good-looking. but I didn't really think I'd get much of a reaction. It's cool but that's not the reason you act." You're always wearing a ring-anything we need to know wedding-wise? "Not a chance. It's not the wedding finger. Actually, it's just that this ring won't come off, so I've had it on for three years." |
