POWER OF THE DOG

There is sorrow enough in the natural way.
From men and women to fill our day;
But when we are certain of sorrow in store,
Why do we always arrange for more?
Brothers and sister, I bid you beware
OF GIVING YOUR HEART TO A DOG TO TEAR

-Stand by Me-

Stand by me through thick and thin
Our good times will never end
We've been together so long
Nothing could ever go wrong
When I need you, you are there
Always near to help and care
We have been in fights before
But I hope it is no mare
Our love is built on trust
So I know it will never rust
You're the kindest person I know
All your love truly does show
I hope nothing happens to you
Because our love is so true
So stand by me through all our days
Then our trust won't float away.

-Life-
As I traveled on my way,
I stopped to watch a child at play.
I watch him and the ball he tossed,
And realized what man kind has lost.

Somehow we've lost the childhood view,
Of a world gone by that we once knew.
We've lost our simple faith in man.
Our happiness with what's at hand.

We seem always to search for more.
We must know what's beyond the door.
I'm content with what's at hand.
We must seek our a greener land.

I long but to return to when,
We valued each and every friend.
A time when the world was a simple place,
And life was not divided by race.

-Love-
Have you ever loved someone Did you ever feel like crying
But knew you would get no where?
Did you ever close your eyes real right
and say a little prayer?
Or look into their hearts
and wish that you were there?
Did you ever watch them walk away
Not wanting them to go? And whisper, I love you;
But never let them know?
If you could choose between life and death
You would almost rather die,
Life is fun but hurts so much
the price you pay is high.
And so I say don't fall in love
You will get hurt before you through
You see my friend, I ought to know,
I fell in love with you.
