Professional Bio...

I have been working as a Fraud Investigator in the San Antonio and South Texas area since 1985. Prior to that time I served 4 years with the US Army across the big pond, and spent ten years as a Special Agent for the Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service, US Border Patrol, serving in both California and Texas. I am bilingual in Spanish and English, and licensed by the State of Texas to investigate any and all matters. I'm currently affiliated with the following:

I previously owned and operated my own investigation agency for twelve years. Beginning August 1997 I took a position in the Special Investigation Unit of a major insurance carrier. I've been working on my Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and my Certified Fraud Investigator (CFI) designations... on account of I ain't got no college, just life educated [grin]

Who The Hell Does This Guy Think He Is Anyway?

I'm divorced (with a 22 year old daughter) and have been around about 48 years, but don't look it... (Photo Link) I believe in eating healthy, working out regularly and staying alive. At 5'11" I weigh 180lbs, with brown hair (all of it) and hazel eyes (both of them). I'm fairly athletic, keeping in shape by walking the golf course carrying my bag, Tai Chi, some running and trips to the gym... but I'm not fanatical about it. All this just so I can indulge in my one bad habit... CHOCOLATE! Ice cream, truffles, peanut M&M's!! Man, you name it... if it's made out of or covered in chocolate I'm there! [grin]

Likes, Dislikes and Notable Quirks...

I am an avid golfer (14.1 USGA handicap), and play as much as time and work will allow. I enjoy the theater (which is not necessarily a movie), and have a season pass to the Broadway Series that comes thru town. A quiet dinner, a nice bottle of wine (or a frozen margarita) in front of the fire (indoors or out), and stimulating conversation. Any place they don't sing "Happy Happy Birthday", while running around the room like idiots, clapping their hands loudly and possibly wearing stupid costumes. I have a need to go to the mountains on a regular basis, as part of a spiritual and mental healing process. Though not always successful, I strive be the best person I can be, to always give 110%. To enjoy life as much as possible, without creating too much disturbance or conflict in the process. I am a loving, caring, compassionate, passionate and decent human being, looking for love and life. I like quiet more than noise, and mountains more than coast. Driving west in the mornings into the cool mountains and pine trees. A homemade pasta dinner (shrimp, roma tomatoes, olive oil and basil... don't worry, I'll do the cooking) served with a nice Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon and Caesar salad.

What I Expect From Life and Love...

I believe that minor squabbles and disagreements can be put aside with open conversation, communication and mutual, open affection. The ability to express thoughts, ideas, wants, needs, desires and basically be able to communicate are the most important things in order to be successful in life and love. I live in the present, look to the future and I'm moving forward in my life, giving 110%... or the most I can at every opportunity.

Now I don't want to get off on a rant here (a la Dennis Miller), but at this point in my life I'm tired of being someone else's bank account and life support system. And I'm totally NOT interested in meeting any more psycho's, mentally deficient or emotionally damaged women (or people, for that matter), obsessed with the way they've been treated by past lovers and losers... GET OVER IT!! Whiners and complainers are irritating... life is too short to dwell on past difficulties and lost loves.

I have desired nothing more than love, life and a person to share that journey with me. I've spent most of my adult life searching for a mature (as related to "taking care of business", not necessarily speaking of age or attitude), confident woman, secure in who she is, and what she wants and needs from life and love. Perhaps I have found that person in Melinda, who shares my heart, my home and my life today.
