Run 1480
THE “Lots of wet patches” RUN
Hares: Russell, Danni & Perthy Throwup
On Back: Hacienda Russell, Jo, Danni & Matthew
The Run
28 brave souls braved the wind, rain and elements off island and managed to find the way and assemble and set off on the trail which was not at all the usual standard weather for an AUH4 run!
Hare Russell set us off on another one of those ROWTs that we are getting more & more of. There were lots of clear chalk marks, lots of long false trails which even had the knitting circle in tow on several occasions, easy to find check back marks (well there were a lot of them) no crossing of any major roads, almost no soft sand, and only a few difficulties finding the arrows as the light began to fail (five minutes after we started…)
The Run – Verdict
The sand was too wet; it was too long; not enough mingling with the bimblers; 2 false trails side by side; too much chalk & flour; wet sand 10/10; whinge, moan, grumble for an excellent score of 9.31

HM ‘Ooz ‘Ee got the gathering underway and gave down-downs to Russell and to co-hares Danni & Perthy Throwup and a bunch of short cutters.
Virgins
There were 2 new virgins Jamie and Kevin …is there such a thing as old virgins????
Accolytes: Sahika and Zalal
The evening’s RA, Humpty Dumpty, as usual picked on numerous innocent Hashers:
• Vlad and Dr Ferrett for being BLABs “we had to work late” - that is the oldest excuse!!!!
• Ooze ‘ee for being early for the first time ever;(Pashmina didn’t come with him Hmmm…….???? is there a message there?
• Doggy Fashion & Miss Doodat (Elbie) for “not going through mud”!! on a day when it poured with rain & there was little option but to walk through mud
• Danger Mouse for not wanting to get her new shoes dirty
• Sheila for turning the circle into a disco with his new fancy flash light
• Paul – for treading on very dangerous ground by saying the directions to Hash were “women’s directions”
• Doggy Fashion for “not having her button pushed hard enough”
• Dr Ferrett for “it was so rainy that my knickers fell off”
• Vlad the Impaler for dress code “I’ll put it back in place???”
• Ooze “ee for wanting a long one and asking young ladies to take off their clothes
• All the Aussies for practice for the 1st Test match
• Humpty Dumpty for insulting Aussies by saying “Jamie looks like Nick and all Aussies look the same”
• Dave and a few girls for talking not talking but gossiping – what’s the difference??
