Weblinking to Series X

Home Macros Scripts Web Links Other Tools FAQ Links About		What is web linking ? A web link is simply a special form of a hyperlink that allows you to put a link in a document to a Series X resource. A web link can be created anywhere a hyperlink can be such as a wordprocessing document or web page. What are the parts of a web link ? A web link consists or two parts: the protocol and a command string. The protocol used in a web link to Series X is libronixdls: The command string consists of a command followed by a parameter list. Commands that you can use include keylink, jump, dialog-bar and dialog. How do I construct a web link to bible reference ? The most common command you are likely to use in a web link is the keylink command. Parameters that you may use with the keylink command include ref and res. The ref parameter is required. The res parameter is optional. For example to open the users default bible to John 3:16 you would use the following weblink: libronixdls:keylink|ref=[en]bible:John%203:16|res=LLS:KJV The red part of the weblink is the libronix protocol, the orange is the command, the green and purple make up the parameter list. Take a look at the ref parameter string. It can be broken down into three parts. The first part, [en] refers to the language of the reference, the second part, bible: refers to the datatype of the reference, and the third part John%203:16 refers to the reference. Note, where you would normally place a space in the reference, hexidecimal equivelant of a space, %20 is used instead.
