Kail Lantis Description: The idealistically tall, dark and handsome type, Lantis strongly resembles his elder brother, Zagato (apparently, they even have similar voices). However, unlike Zagato, he has short, black hair and blue-grey eyes. Costume: Wears dark armour (black in the manga, dark grey in the anime) with silver trim and light blue gems, as well as a long cape (which is black in the manga, but pale blue in the anime). Also wears a thin, golden band around his forehead. Companions: Primera, a cute little pixie that is often seen perched upon Lantis' shoulder, and a flying black horse with a mane of blue flame, which Lantis can summon with a spell. Weapon: A laser sword with a blade of flaming white light (the blade only appears when summoned), it can also shoot forth a larger beam of light; Lantis also uses this sword to summon his spirit horse. (In the anime, this weapon [along with Clef's staff and Zagato's breastplate] can open Crown Room, which contains the proof of the Pillar of Cephiro.) Items: In the anime, Lantis carries a mirrored pendant which was given to him by his mother (he later gives this to Hikaru). This pendant also seems to have magical, shield-like abilities, which is demonstrated in the final battle scene of the series. Magic Spells: Lightning Call Lightning Strike Creature Summon *Cresta* Shield *Cronos* Lightning attack Personality: Despite his imposing and almost frigid demeanor, in reality, Lantis possesses a gentle nature... Birds instinctively flock around him, and in the anime, during the collapse of Cephiro, he rescues many of the helpless villagers from the countryside, and brings them to the safety of the castle. Background: As aforementioned, Lantis is a Kail, or Magic Swordsman; the only one of his kind on Cephiro (BTW, Kail is his title, I believe, not a family name). A Kail possesses the magic of a sorcerer, or Ile (like Alcyone), and the swordsmanship of a Dal, like La Farga. (In some ways, Lantis is similar to a Magic Knight, in that he can cast elemental magic, and uses his own special sword.) Like most of the magic users from Cephiro, he was trained by Guru Clef, alongside his older brother, the High Priest Sol Zagato. A former Captain of the Inner Guard, Lantis' job was to protect the Pillar (or ruler) of Cephiro, Princess Emeraude. However one day, he suddenly left Cephiro... It was later discovered that he did this to explore other countries; the last place being Autozam, one of the countries now invading Cephiro. Just as suddenly, he returned to Cephiro, just after the death of Princess Emeraude (this was regarded as suspicious to some)... As mentioned before, Lantis is the younger brother of the now deceased Sol Zagato, with whom he posesses a strong physical resemblance. Like his brother, he resents the Pillar System of Cephiro, having witnessed the forbidden love between Zagato and Princess Emeraude, and experiencing the heart-wrenching pain of their deaths. Will he share the same fate as his brother for his beliefs? Or for the same reason that killed his brother...? Primera Primera is a cute (if somewhat annoying) little pixie, who was rescued by Lantis during the collapse of Cephiro. Because of this, she has fallen in love with him, and now accompanies him almost everywhere he goes, even casting spells on him if he needs them (her spells include Healing, and *Futura*, Magic Enhance). Description: Long, aqua hair, done up in buns; wears a short, pink petal-like dress, with matching choker and slippers, as well as bracelets (which are furry in the manga, but are golden in the anime), and in the manga, a fringed ankle bracelet on her right ankle.
