Costumes
Here are descriptions of the various outfits that Lantis wears in the
anime, manga and OAVs. (My, he's quite the clotheshorse, isn't he? ^_~)
Description: (See Info: Costume)
Worn during...
This is the costume that Lantis wears throughout most of the series; it
is presumably the uniform of a swordsman, or Captain of the Guard, as
La Farga (who holds similar positions to Lantis) wears the same kind
of armour. It is interesting to note that the colour scheme of Lantis'
costume is similar to his brother Zagato's; black and ominous.
Description: Black shirt and pants, with a silver belt and silver-plated boots; in the manga, he also wears a gold and blue brooch. (This is most likely the clothing that Lantis wears under his other outfits.)
Worn during... We first see Lantis wear these clothes during
happier times, in a flashback of him and Zagato... He also wears
this when he first meets Hikaru alone in the garden of the castle; it
should be noted that the lack of armour probably makes him look less
intimidating and more approachable to Hikaru.
Description: White surcoat or tabard (is that the correct term?) over black clothing, along with a jewelled belt and matching gauntlets (similar to those of the Magic Knights).
Worn during... We only see this outfit during a flashback of
Lantis training with Clef. (It is interesting to note that both Lantis
and Zagato wear white during their younger days, perhaps indicating a
more innocent time for them...?)
Description: The most notable thing about this costume is its similarity to Eagle's (and like Lantis, Eagle wears plain black underneath it).
Worn during... Lantis' stay in Autozam (presumably, he wanted
to blend in with the other inhabitants).
Description: White jacket with black borders, plain white shirt and pants with a black belt; plus a white cape held by light blue gems set in gold.
Worn during... Like all of the other characters in the series,
Lantis gets a new costume at the end of the manga (most likely to
represent a new start for Cephiro). Again, notice the change from black
armour to white clothing, to indicate more peaceful times. ^_^
Description: (See OAV: Costume)
Worn during... Overall, the costumes in the OAV are less
elaborate than their anime/manga counterparts; they have a much
cleaner line, and Lantis' is no exception.
