advertisements ruining your surfing pleasure and more tools to make your

It is with great sadness that I inform all the friend of the late Kip
McLean of his passing. After a long battle with cancer, he passed away on
27 Jun 07. Sheila, Debbie and Colleen, would like to thanks to everyone
for the great support they have been receiving.

Airforce Gunplumbers
For those who did not know, Don Norrie has taken over the Airforce
Gunplumbers book three years ago.
It is now in completely different format ( 8.5" x 11.0" ) and
comprises stories and photos of Armourers at work and play, anecdotes, as
well as the directory section. Don has it ready for mailing in Jan
of each year. Price: $20.00. Interested personnel can send me an email to
get his address so you can send your order and payment to him. He
only has 225 copies printed so its "first come first served".

John Ross
I am sorry to have to announce the passing of my Father WO John G Ross
as he
lost his battle with pancreatic cancer shortly after 1 pm on Friday April
6, 2007 at the May court Hospice in Ottawa Ont.
Viewing will be held Friday 13 Apr from 7-9 pm. He will be laid
to rest Saturday Apr 14th with the service beginning at 1 pm at 1200
Ogilvie Rd. Ottawa Ont.
Followed by the burial service at Beechwood National Military Cemetery
Anyone wishing to attend are welcome to do so
I have been asked to let everyone know that in lieu of flowers sent to
the funeral, Johns wishes were to have donations sent to the Canadian
Cancer Society Please.

Gary Birch
Passing of MCpl Gary Birch, Ret'd
It is with great sorrow I announce the passing of MCpl Gary Birch, Retd.
Gary, a former 572 Armourer, joined the service in 1975 and hailed from
Summerside, PEI. He had several postings, which included Chatham, Germany,
Greenwood, and Shearwater. Gary passed away at home after a long battle
with cancer on the evening of 18 Oct surrounded by family and
friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on 24 Oct 05 at 1100 hrs, as St. Peters
Anglican Church, Eastern Passage.
Donations in lieu of flowers to The Canadian Cancer Society.

Terry Bloom
Terry Bloom passed away last Thursday from Heart complications. The
Legion funeral was held last Sunday and attended by over 250 friends and
family. Of note...there were a significant number of Armourers there
including Bill Hunt, Ken Sparks, Ed Kelly, Max Pennel, Bill Scholes, Dave
Olive and myself to name a few.
Terry will be greatly missed.

It is with regret that I inform you of the loss of a member of the 3 EMA,
occurring on Sunday, 10 September, the Corporal Philippe Dekufrin. According to the report of the coroner "Pongo" would have died from natural cause.
Obviously, an autopsy will be practiced in the next days. Yesterday, in the evening, most blood relatives were informed.
Corporal Dekufrin leaves in mourning besides his parents, his friends and the big family of the
3 EMA, his nine year-old son Draggan,
