Eagle's Wing

by Ayesha Haqqiqa

Synopsis: An Anglo trapper/explorer vies with a Native American for the ownership of a beautiful white horse.

Sams Performance: This is the only film I've seen where Sam doesn't speak, except for a few words in Comanche. And it does take away from his performance, I feel. He shows excellent horsemanship (and a nice body covered most of the time only with a loincloth) and a certain amount of sensitivity towards others, but this clash of cultures just doesn't come off because the Native never fully expresses himself. (I may be prejudiced, as I have several Native American friends from various Western tribes, and they are all express themselves quite well!)

Must-see scene: Any of the scenes where Sam is riding are very good, especially for those who appreciate his physical attributes.

Rating: 1 Sam means you won't be able to sit through the whole film; 5 Sams means you should buy the film and watch it over and over!

2 Sams

The film is plodding, and even Sams appearance cant save it from being one you want to be over.
